Private House - Barcelona - Spain

This contemporary house refurbishment in Barcelona, Spain, explores the relationship between architecture, interior space and landscape. The 400 m² family home has been carefully transformed to create a more open, connected and contemporary living environment while respecting the character of the existing property. Stone, terrazzo, glass blocks and bespoke joinery create a continuous visual language between the living areas, kitchen and private spaces. Large openings introduce natural light and create framed views through the house, strengthening the connection between the interior and exterior. SINTAA’s approach focuses on the interaction between the occupants and the architecture, using material, light and spatial connections to create a calm but distinctive contemporary home. Architecture, interior design and landscape are considered together as part of the refurbishment strategy
